The registration in the legal deposit is a mandatory procedure if your goal is to sell your records in physical stores. Its purpose is to collect the cultural and intellectual heritage of each country to ensure the preservation of all editorial production.

It is important to keep in mind that, if you intend to sell your music now or in the future in physical stores, you must register in the legal deposit before making your vinyl records.

For this we need, before starting production, data such as the number of copies you want to make, the name of the artist or band and the title and language of the album, among others. Once we get the code of the legal deposit, we attach it to your records.

You, as the author, have a number of rights with respect to third parties that protect you from the unauthorized use and plagiarism of your musical work.

To prove that you are the author of your work, you must register it directly in the General Registry of Intellectual Property or through an Authorized Agent.
